Overview

The Tropper Technologies System Sentinel tool suite comprises our Argon data collection tool and our Cobalt real-time data viewer. This 3G/4G product suite delivers a high performance, cost effective solution to network providers, terminal manufacturers and infrastructure manufacturers alike, by providing:

From your desktop, real time, system wide view of the network.

Argon

Argon is a mobile-based client application that runs on Android-enabled User Equipment.

Argon  interfaces with the mobile radio layer and acts as a pocket Diagnostic Monitor.

Argon displays and logs data. In addition, Argon “pushes” data to the Cobalt server in real time.

Key metrics include:

  • Lat/Lon
  • Voice/Data coverage
  • Data Rate
  • Latency
  • Call Success/Failure

From your desktop, real time, system wide view of the network.

Cobalt

Cobalt is a server-side browser application that runs in Internet Explorer.

Cobalt receives the mobile data from Argon, including location, and plots the position of the device on a map in real time.

Cobalt provides a network level view of system performance, for all connected devices.

Key metrics include:

  • Lat/Lon
  • Voice/Data coverage
  • Data Rate
  • Latency
  • Call Success/Failure

From your desktop, real time, system wide view of the network.

Use Cases

An example of various Use Cases applicable to the Tropper Technologies Argon-Cobalt Infrastructure.

  • Scenario #1

Use Case--> Benchmark network

Method--> View multiple mobile clients using same terminal type, running same

operating system, accessing same technology.

  • Scenario #2

Use Case--> Compare and contrast different smartphone operating systems or

different revisions of same operating system - e.g., HTC terminal running Android

accessing UMTS compared to HTC terminal running Windows Mobile accessing UMTS.

Method--> View multiple mobile clients using same terminal type, running different

operating systems, accessing same technology.

  • Scenario #3

Use Case--> Compare and contrast different terminals - e.g., HTC terminal running

Android accessing UMTS compared to Samsung terminal running Android accessing

UMTS.

Method--> View multiple mobile clients using different terminal types, running same

operating system, accessing same technology.

  • Scenario #4

Use Case--> Compare and contrast different network technologies - e.g., HTC terminal

running Android accessing UMTS compared to HTC terminal running Android accessing

EDGE.

Method-->View multiple mobile clients using same terminal type, running same operating systems, accessing different technologies.
