Tropper Technologies Homepage

Tropper Technologies is actively involved in the development of testing tools  for the emerging "Software Radio" initiative.

Our experience in this area is recognized globally and has resulted in our participation in many standards setting organizations and forums, including the Software Defined Radio Forum where our founder recently finished  as Vice-Chairman of the Markets Sub-Committee...

SDR Testbed

Tropper Technologies demonstrated an advance prototype of our Block 1 SDR Testbed at the SDRF Seattle exhibit in June of 2000.

Our Block 1 SDR Testbed is a generic test fixture that can be used to test a variety of emerging SDR enabled devices such as handhelds and elements of network equipment.

The Tropper Technologies SDR Testbed can be used to test both the RF parametric aspects of developing hardware as well as the compliance/conformance of emerging software.

Based upon our proven hands-on experience in this area, as well as our participation in numerous standards setting organizations, Tropper Technologies is uniquely positioned to help you design and build your own SDR Testbed or to help you make strategic decisions based on the most current industry trends.

ActiveX Controls In support of the emerging Software Radio initiative Tropper Technologies has developed and is shipping a "CDMA ActiveX Control". This one-of-a kind ActiveX Control exposes, via numerous properties and methods, the entire IS-95 and J-STD008 air interface message specification to the container wrapper. This drop-in flexibility greatly facilitates development and testing of the Software Radio.

In addition, work is under way to encapsulate the GSM and IS-136 common air interfaces into ActiveX Controls as well.

Abstracting the bit level decodes using these ActiveX Controls (which may be engaged or disengaged at will by the host software) delivers an efficient, robust solution for testing the various technologies that could be supported via Software Radio devices.
